    Samsung Galaxy S6 hype thread

Just a side note here as I notice folks are down on the HTC One M9, I have 1, got it 2 days after release. Battery lasts all day, shut it off every night around 11 at night with at least 33% battery left and have never felt the phone get hot. Seems to be 0 throttle problems to date as well...

    Water Water Everywhere...

In a word, Yes. When Real Temp was being created after discussion with the founder I did exactly that with an old chip and board. I used a thermal gun and it buried the temp in under 15 seconds. So yes, they get hot fast. What I would do is pull all the components, spray compressed air under...

Think my PSU died - OCZ-GXS850

Have you tried different power cables from the psu to the vid card yet, 1 at a time to rule out a bad/flakey connector? Also when you change the other supply and then the OCZ supply do you change the power cord to the psu cord as well or just using the same cord again for the next supply? Larry

Think my PSU died - OCZ-GXS850

Yes it sure is a hard one to figure out.The cpu I take it isn't running too hot either.Seems you have covered the base's pretty well, I think I would order the new PSU at this point. Larry

Think my PSU died - OCZ-GXS850

Well that being said I would check to make sure the fan is in fact working on the PSU and if so put your hand over the exhaust of the psu fan and see how hot the unit is running. I would also check to see how hot the vid card is getting too. Larry

Think my PSU died - OCZ-GXS850

Well I understand that but I was refering to the header on the board that the wires from the power switch connect to. You can pull the connection and jump the header where the wires were on very quick like to start it up, thus eliminating the switch. Larry

Think my PSU died - OCZ-GXS850

Well the Power switch on the case is just a momentary switch so I guess it could be bad though this never happened with any setup I worked on. You "Could" pull the connection off the Power switch header, (on the board), and manually jump the 2 prongs with a screwdriver or the like to rule the...

Think my PSU died - OCZ-GXS850

If this were me I would look real hard at the Mobo, check for bulging Caps, burned or brownish looking areas on both the front and rear of the board. Same for the Video card.It sounds like a short to me. Larry

Anyone still using LGA 775 as part of their main rigs?

My main box is my Q9650 humping along at a tad under 4100, been running it at that for a long time, probably be another year before I change it out. Larry

    OCZ Z Series 1Kw or Seasonic X750?

I'm running the XFX 850W here,no problems at all with it, plenty of power and rock steady voltages. Larry

Win7: Black screen with only cursor at login.

My setup has done this twice, still trying to figure it out here as well, running Win 7 64 bit here. I run an admin account as well as my normal Login and when it happened my only option was a reset. I did notice this happened on a Wednesday morning after updates from windows on a Tuesday. Larry

Computer + Water = FAIL... Advice?

Well, I would have pulled the cpu first before powering up the board but is a mute issue at this point. I do think you should pull the cpu tho, check for scorching etc. Also without a video card installed I am pretty sure there is no boot. If this were me, I would strip the board of all...

    Overclock passes 8 hrs P95 @ priority 10, but fails 1min of LinX?[SOLVED]

It could be quite a few things including voltage for the NB, as well as maybe try a different version of OCCT. If memory serves, P95 needs a tad More voltage to run than OCCT, sometimes OCCT will act that way due to that slight bit Too much voltage that P95 needed to be stable. In my testing...

    Buying SCSI HDs

Those drives you linked too will work fine. As the controller will handle your 36 gig Fujitsu's it should handle any U320 80 pin drives. You may want to check around the for sale forums, etc as probably like myself, quite a few folks have drives laying around that would be cheaper than the one...
