For what you want to do it really doesn't matter. Haswell Refresh or Skylake Pentium, AMD FX or APU - they'll all serve that purpose. Go with what's cheapest.

You'll be fine for two or three years. Just be sure to get fast RAM like DDR4 2666. Too much FUD flying around here - the RX 480 isn't that powerful.

When the dust settles the RX 480 8GB and the GTX 1060 will be competing against each other much in the same way the GTX 960 4GB and R9 380 4GB have with the slight price advantage of AMD intact and the performance advantage more or less leveled. Never understood why everyone wets their pants...
