I changed my motherboard because when I tryed pachting the bios the motherboard didnt turn on again. With the same one because my restore cds only work with the same one.The cd drive used to work before I replaced my motherboard and does work but only in safe mode.

The cd drive works,only in safemode.

Thanks for the help,but that wasnt the answer.I called amd and they told me to change a jumper,after that it was back too xp 2400+.

What do you do next?

I have a AMD athlon xp 2400+.It worked fine with my other motherboard but when I replaced my motherboard with the same model,I used CPU-Z and it said I have a AMD Athlon XP 1800+ !!!!!What just happened?

I just meant would a AMD athlon affect a 6800 gt perfermonce,I just said agp to indicate the card is agp.

I dont usally buy them from stores like Bestbuy and futureshop.I was talking about the ones from ati and agp.Bestbuy and futureshop has the ATI Radeon 256MB AGP Graphics Card (X800XL) for $329CAN and the ATI Radeon X800 PRO 256MB AGP Video Card for $449CAN.
