Any word on the Asus K8N-E Deluxe? http://www.asus.com.tw/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=K8N-E%20Deluxe&Type=All shows 2 BIOS's 1001 and 1002. Seeing as 1001 was posted June 18th and 1002 July 12th 1002 should be on all boards but... I wonder if 1001 is the BIOS used by the few...

I don't see why Asus would be afraid; the board seems plenty solid at stock speeds; looks like it just needs a new BIOS and it could easilty be the best out there...

hmm, cool I guess :) cheaper; proven good OC'er and known V-Mods; other than the 250 as opposed to 250gb whats not to like?

Hmm, guys at the Xtremesystems forums seem to be getting the K8N-E Dlx to 250fsb just fine... I'm betting they found the LDT multi but it must be there. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38777 BTW, so the K8NS-Pro (nForce 3 250 Gigabyte) is 100% mobile...

The mobile Athlon 64 and motherboards

more or less I mean that if I get the 3000+ and max out with a 9x multi; as long as my hypertransport bus stays under or at what it's supposed to be my CPU should be fine regardless of it I did a 200fsb, x4 for 800mhz HTT or a 400fsb x 2 for the same 800mhz HTT. i.e. is there a chance that my...

The mobile Athlon 64 and motherboards

Bar81, you have me a little confused; at first it seemed that using a divider to keep my ram in check coupled with keeping the HTT bus under the 800mhz that the nf3-250 maxxes at would mean that I could use any FSB/HTT setting i.e. 200x4x10 == 400x2x5 or is there something I'm missing...

I know but the Giga seems to be a very solid board with great OC options and known and easy volt mods. Considering I don't use SATA (at the moment) don't use giga ethernet (at the moment) and I don't need the firewall it doesn't seem like there would be a huge difference for me unless I'm...

what about the Albatron situation where the BIOS was 250 but clockgen hit 350? I think it was an Anand review of the board that I got this from... waiting on my Friday paycheck :)

The mobile Athlon 64 and motherboards

Hmm, alright... if I decide to go for the A64 before someone else tests it I'll probably go for the 3000+ mobile and K8N-E dlx (as the 3200+ DTR is out of stock ....)

The mobile Athlon 64 and motherboards

I'm definatly going to get the Asus board, but seeing as that will be my virgin foray into A64 territory I might not go for DTR/mobile unless someone can answer this question for me; if the DTR / mobile does not work can I return it to newegg for $$$ to get a reg. A64 with or can I onyl return...

excellent thanks Bar81; I've been trying to jump ship on the AMD 3200+, K8V $179 deal but if it's down all week I'll probably go for the DTR K8N-E combo; if I'm gonna pay that kind of $$ I'm gonna do this right :) of course if the K8N-E lacks DTR/Mobile support... well, in Asus I trust...
