    Bridging a Wired/Wireless Network

AFAIK you cannot use the 2 routers to bridge the connection, I faced a similar problem a week or so back and bought a Linksys WET54G wireless bridge, this works well and enables my entire wired network (printer, server + PC's etc) in my workshop to connect to my WAP in my house.

Getting SICK of Epson inkjets. Need advice big time.

Another thumbs up for the Canons, I have an S820 (6-colour) which prints flawlessly despite the fact that I use a colour laser for everything bar photos so the 820 often spends a month+ between prints. Ink is so cheap too, I pay £1.13+VAT per colour for generic carts in the UK. Andy

What 865PE/875P mb will boot off a pair of Raptor's in RAID 0?

I have the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP and am booting from RAID-0 36gb Raptors with no problems, fast stable board too with lots of features, see HERE . I am using both SATA controllers and recommend dumping the silicon image driver that comes on the mobo CD and installing the WHQL one from Silicons site...

XP won't recognize my new SATA drive

Actually that is incorrect, a new bare drive should show up in disk manager, you should then be able to initialise and format etc from within windowsXP (EDIT, I assume you are on XP?) As to what the problem is, I assume that the SATA controller shows up in device manager and you have installed...

    Getting Raptor as Primary Master?

I find that if I install XP on a machine with SCSI/SATA/RAID as the main drive and a standard IDE drive plugged into the IDE on the motherboard I can install fine but the bootloader installs on the standard drive despite the O/S installing on the SCSI etc. I always pull and IDE drives before...

    What will perform better?

With those specs you would get much better performance if you forgot XP and installed Win2000, I wouldn't want to install XP on either of thos machines. Andy

    Win Xp Installation Problem.

It's always worth trying a different stick of RAM if you get blue screens during XP install, maybe you could borrow a known good stick?

    Are my temps too high?

LOL That is very true, my server in my 12'x10' workshop is a 2200+ at 2146Mhz (13.5x159) and it works better than any heater through the colder months.

Im very confused...looking at dvd burners...

I have the A05 too and had an A04 before it, Pioneer DVD burners are very good, AFAIK the only difference between the 05 and the new 06 is that the 06 is dual format wheras the 05 is -R only. Andy BTW, I always use Ritek dye 4x media and get no coasters

    CD Writer recommendations....

There's not a lot of difference between + and - in reality, the major factors (for me) are that - discs are cheaper and also more compatable with set-top dvd players, something like 96% compatability for - and 86% for + Andy P.S. As has been said before LiteOn are every bit as good as plextor...

Is it possible to plug a device into the usb port with out any problems ?

If your USB device has a driver install disc (doesnt use a generic driver) then you should install the driver BEFORE you plug the device in, if XP assigns the wrong driver (such as calling a benq 4300U scanner a generic flatbed scanner22) then it can be a real pain, even if you install the...
