CPU (Thunderbird 950): 52C/125F
System: 34C/93F

I unplugged 2 of my fans to cut down on noise, and my temps went up quite a bit. Are they too high, or will I be ok?

I am assuming those are idle temps. You might want to check the CPU temp under full load for a while, see how hot it gets.

Pft, that's fine. The Tbird is good until well up in the 80's.

detecting temps constantly is like constantly OC your CPU/video card just to get a few points higher in 3Dmarks or whatever

if it freezes/slow down, then worry about the temperature. if it runs smoothly, there is nothing to worry about

Tbirds run hot anyway, so that's fine. You have less noise and a warmer room for the winter :D

LOL

That is very true, my server in my 12'x10' workshop is a 2200+ at 2146Mhz (13.5x159) and it works better than any heater through the colder months.

My 12x12 Comp room with
--------------------------------
P4 3.18G
P4 2.53G
AMD 1.3 @ 1.77G

Is thw warmest room in the house year round, sometimes i have to open the windows in the winter to let some cool air in :D

As for the temps 52C is a little high, but i wouldn't worry about it. My AthlonXP (Pali) runs 50C at load, My P4 3.18 runs 52C at load. If you get stability problems then i would worry about it
