    HELP -- Windows 2000 -- Klez

I have a server set up remotely in another part of the country, with windows 2000 on it. It has a mail server, and I have been getting very strange e-mail messages from others who use my server (which they don't send) and they have been getting strange messages from my account (which I don't...

HOT! Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM WD1200BBRTL $109 AR and AMEX PM!

Lets say I am exchanging a drive I got because it is defective. They will credit my card for that order number, and then will charge it again. But because there is that credit, won't AMEX notice and think that I returned the item and charge me for the paid BVG claim already on the drive?

HOT! Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM WD1200BBRTL $109 AR and AMEX PM!

Storm897, since when are there 4 PMs a year? I thought it was 250 per item, 1000 per year. That means that if each item was at its max there would be 4 a year but i assume you could do 100 10 dollar pricematches as well from that policy.

HOT! Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM WD1200BBRTL $109 AR and AMEX PM!

Getreal, I had an OEM Western Digital hard drive. It broke after 2 years. I got it exchanged under warranty with Western Digital, and still have one year left on the warranty, on an OEM drive.

Another Amex Blue Warning: 1 Day Late On Payment = No BVG For That Month

With Amex and a lot of other companies, you can also pay by phone, if you don't have online access. If you just paid on the due date online, they might say it was late since it actually takes a few days to get to amex from your bank. But if you paid before your due date and they actually...

    Dell Inspiration 8100/4100 memory upgrades...

I also ordered memory from crucial (2 256 mb) and put it in myself. I accidentally jammed one in too far, but i eventually got it out and it still works great. Dell charges outrageously for memory when you are ordering a system and most other times.

    aureal super quad for $14

I used to have (a few days ago) an Aureal Vortex 2 card (Diamond MX300), and quad output does not work on XP, even with the instructions/drivers on www.vortexofsound.com. If you want a good deal, get the Soundblaster Live! 5.1 OEM from Creative on Newegg for $32.

Why does paypal ask me if i really wanna use my creditcard?

Also, when people use their bank account to pay they can't dispute the charge if they never get the item, etc. They have to use PayPal's dispute system. When people use the credit card they can dispute the payment.

***WARNING - BB WD 60gb dying after 4 days

Is a 5400 RPM 20 gb drive a lot slower than a 7200 RPM? My WD 20 gb 7200 RPM drive just died 2 days ago after over a year, I temporarily put a 20 gb Maxtor 5400 RPM in my comp and it works great, but is it going to be a lot slower than another WD 20 GB I will be getting in the mail? I don't have...

    Problem with PayPal

If you registered your account before October 11, 2001, then they can not take money out of your bank account. However, they could charge a credit card you have on file for they amount they deemed owed to them. However, I don't know how Credit Card Companies would handle this if you disputed...

    Problem with PayPal

HyTekJosh is exactly right... I've heard of different stories of people who talked to their customers and sometimes the customer demands a refund months later, and said if you don't give it, i'm filing a merchendise quality dispute. So of course the seller denies the request since the auctions...
