Cheap out? Its people giving in to bullshit like overpriced adapters where you can get two keyboards for the price of the adapter that the adapter is priced so high. If it happens again Ill borrow another keyboard for free. I just spent nearly $200 on the motherboard, I dont have spare money...

I assure you I am not using illegal software. I am a Computer Science major and our school offers Vista Business 64 as well as a few other pieces of software to its CS students. Now that you know that Im interested to see what your help is although Im pretty sure you will not respond.

Yeah Im sure, nothing else to boot with. The only other thing I was thinking was that the ide cable isnt connected right or it doesnt work but would the CD/DVD ROM still work normally as if it were connected right (ie disc tray opening, disc spinning etc.)?

Well I know the DVD wasnt burned bad because it worked on my first install of Vista. As far as the keyboard, I thought the same thing but it works in the bios fine. Maybe it shuts off when it tries to boot from the DVD but how would I know that?
