And don't say get a shuttle, shuttles you NEED a monitor to use, as well as a powersource. This is a laptop hybrid =p

    Crazy video card idea

Find a way to get a PCI express card slot external, power it , and plug it into any laptop. It would mean that you can plug this external slot into any laptop, and have it be a gaming rig. Best part, completely upgradeable, and could be used with any laptop. Sure it would require it to be...

You have any UK sites? Those are all US, and most do not even ship to here =) The two cards are soo close, and I prefer Nvidia.. 256 megs + 256 turbocache (mem sharing) is more versitile than the flat 256 the x1600 comes with IMHO. Not trying to start an ATI vs. Nvidia conversation here...

OK, last post.. really. It really is between the Asus a8jm or the Asus W3j. Does anyone know of a good place to order these online. I would want a place that can customize the configuration, as I would want 2 gigs or ram, 100 gig 7200 rpm hd, 2.16 proc. etc etc. I wonder which is lighter...

TBH the Asus a8JM is probably what I will get. Bigger than the 13.3, but by no means "big". Need to find a good place to buy one now. or the Asus w3j http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=3031 still need a good place to configure and BUY either one tho.

it does not look like the 7600 comes in anything less than a 14", not 13.3 anyway =(

M1210 is on my list of "possibles". Ideally, a go 7600 512 Meg in an 13.3 chassis. That would suit for mid range gaming, in an uber small chassis. Anyone know if something like this exists. Surfing around now to see what is what. The W7J with an upgraded card from the 7400 to the 7600 would...

Did I mention you rock the funky joint? There are a lot of questions about the table ( how much ram on which cards for instance) but its a HUGE leg up on anything I have seen anywhere else.. thanks!

    Nvidia 512 MB 7600 go

For anything under 14", seems to be the fastest 2. 7400 and lower are availible, assuming of course they are actually THAT much slower.

its going to be replaced in 60 mos - a year anyway =p It is something to consider, Dell just does not have this in their lineup...yet. I could wait a few weeks and see. That and I am IN the U.K =p It also has a 1 year warrenty, can upgrade to 2.

    Nvidia 512 MB 7600 go

Am looking at different laptop configs, and with the smallest chassis, I basically have the choice between the 7600 and the x1600. I know the X1600 is "ok" for gaming, the Macbook Pro does alright for most games in native res. How does the 7600 with 512 Megs stack up?

Some really good leads, for a very demanding question. I know what I ask for is unreasonable, my agony is that it IS unreasonable =p
