so you can run any game without freezing by forcing the RAM to not act as dualchannel memory?
and if so......doesnt that kinda kill your performance....or is that just a rumor?
this is my first post and im kind of a noob when it comes to hardware but if anyone has the patience to explain a solution to me, it would be greatly appreciated.
I have an 8800gtx with the latest drivers, an X-Fi sound card with latest drivers, an Ageia Phsyx card with latest drivers, 4X1GB...
ok.....so last night i went home and tried to up the voltage on my memory modules....i had the option to up it to 2.085V and 2.178V......I trieds both........same problem still.............any more suggestions?
no....i dont use any programs like that....i just go to my bios screen at start up and look at the info...i have the most recent bios version...and i have tried others....they all have the same issue
i am not familiar with bios settings in general but for this board in particular (due to my problem) i have what i would refer to as, somewhere between common and above average knowledege.
I will try to manually set the timings to 2.1V and manually configure the speeds to 800MHz when i get...
yea....cpu temps seem to be fine..........im stumped....almost ready to just sell my new E6850 on ebay and forget about it..........hope you or someone else can help me from not having to do this
thanks for the response.....again......i am an extreme noob.....i dont know what a northbridge is, but the ventilation in my case is VERY good (6 case fans, and 4 internal fans) and i have heard from Intel,l Asus, and the company that built my machine that i should be able to just snap the new...
