Dunno what they are chasing here, because battery life wont be a probleme for AMD s lower end part as well, a high IPC core can be clocked lower while providing the same perf and this will compensate for its lower efficency at same frequency, you could even end with lower power at same throughput.
So about the same perfs as a 6C/12T AMD SKU, it is meant to compete with a cut down version of Kraken, the lowest part in AMD s next gen unless they go 4C/8T, at wich point LNL would be surrounded from top to bottom as well as from left and right.
Such tricky firms are always a shot forward in respect of regulation entities, just look at Dell, they include 3% AMD chips in their laptops, if they used none that would appear as suspicious and could trigger some investigation, so they put a tiny amount as a cover.
That was exactly what the...
Not solved, temporarly closed but you wont keeping someone who drink from being drunk again, that s an addiction, to tell it in short terms no bribes no Intel.
Yes, in the EU Intel was condemned and fined for anti competitive practices at the retailers level., and btw i knew it years before the trial from the very retailer that testimoned in this case, an employee explained me how they were bribed.
Laws ar
Although they do nice reviews Computerbase are not neutral when it comes to Intel and that was proven in th past, just ask them how they got a dual Xeon 8380 for free apparently.
Not counting their ST test that use 3 softs out of 3 that all favour Intel, they cant ignore that CB...
Guess that AMD didnt even send them a test plateform, first thing they would have done is to call their Intel buddies to give them full access to check the beast s numbers.
Isnt a rumour stating that ARL is projected to be set at 188W TDP..?.
If that s true then they ll compare it to RPL at this power, they ll lose the opportunity
to state a much better perf/Watt but they ll gain in perfs improvement numbers.
"You cant make better friends than Dell", that was from an Intel rep.
If Strix is that good then AMD should allocate them no more than the 3% AMD chips they are using in their laptops, that wouldnt be a big loss, better to supply the chips left to the numerous chinese OEMs like Framework...
That sound like the typical guy who was defrauded of his money by buying both Nvidia and Intel s stocks on the highs.
Since i know no one who would be ready to waste his time enriching the others it look like he s just trying to lure the unsuspicious buying those firms stocks as a mean to get...
7950X is 95°C limited, so unless you use some exotic cooling you ll hardly manage to reach the 230W PPT, 5950X didnt have such a brick walled limitation, hence you could overclock it at higher than 230W, but as you said it was pointless perf wise.
Back to topics with this RPL debacle Intel can...
