Now if only the turtle tank can somehow be shielded from below where "sleeping soldiers" sit and wait for it to make shaking hands an uplifting experience. And seeing as if Russian tanks were never designed to compensate for the added weight those tops pile on, it seems the tanks would have to slow down quite a bit to keep from overheating as well as the added fuel consumption it'll take to go from functional to scrap.

No, the story here is that you better have an APS on your tanks and IFVs.
AKA "Turtle Tanks". Beyond their use of ramming they're a dud PLUS they're probable negated by new artillery shipments to the front.
So they had had a brief 5 seconds of fame.
The real take-away though is Russia's ability to MacGyver with the limited resources at hand. This is not stupid. Someone managed to put brains to the front.

Russian assault perfection. Drive in on golf carts. Have your force fire smoke shells behind you as to obscure you from observation by your own support. Get shelled/fired upon and rush madly into the trench line you're attacking for cover. Friendly tank repeatedly fires exactly on your position in said enemy trench.

Frankly I think Biden is going to keep drip feeding Ukraine. There should have been gear ready to go as soon as the funding came through.

Europe may have to decide if they really want Ukrainian victory and act accordingly.

There was gear ready to go, just waiting on the House GOP to get off their rear end and approve it.

Biden had EDA and such to tap into before but refused. What he's sending right now is not enough to change the dynamic in Ukraine much. They need the gear to mechanize divisions, not battalions.

If you want to change the dynamic then the $ amount on the recent authorization bill should have been much larger.
