Greetings,

I'm looking for two ups for two desktop I have, I know for my previous workplace that APC are good enough for my needs.
one system is the more powerful one, the other is running 24/7

I don't think I need more wattage but I do wonder if I need less wattage.
my requirements is a ups that upon outage will allow safe shutdowns on my systems

Thanks.

Well you didn't give us much to go on. We don't know anything about your two systems in regards to power. Try using this from APC to help you determine which one will work best for your application.

They are 600W UPS.

Unless it is a high power gaming rig, or you have very large (or multiple) monitors, that UPS should do fine to just shut down gracefully (save work, etc) rather than trying to keep using the systems. It is not too high a wattage, but you might be able to scrape by with a lower wattage rated model if funds are tight and you only need a minute of runtime to save your work and shut down.

one is has 400w psu and the other has 600w + screen.
I reckon that two upses will suffice, no?

^ I'd get one, and try it on the 600W + screen. If it can't keep that running long enough, use it on the 400W system and get one with a higher rating for the 600W + screen.... I mean "screen" does not tell us a lot, could be a 50" that uses 150W by itself.
