Question CPU upgrade for a Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3

When I looked at the supported CPU list for Win 11, my Ryzen 7 1700X isn't listed. I was thinking of upgrading the CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700G and ditching the old HD 6850 vid card. Anyone have any experience using a new series CPU in a board that old? I'd like to avoid starting from scratch with all new components since the rest of the system is good enough for office use and I don't do any gaming but do use it for some vid editing, etc.

Yep. Highest I would go is a 3700X.

Really wanted the 5700G. Maybe just stick with what I have for the time being... I'm sure there will be Win 11 iso's that can be installed on older equipment pretty soon. I wonder if MS will make Win 11 free for a period of time like they did for Win 10.
