I was wondering if anyone ordered a BFG 7800 512 from Zip Zoom Fly and if there order shipped yet? The reason I ask is I ordered one at the 729.00 price and am getting the run around now. I think they bumped me and sold them at the higher price, or they never had them.

Thanks

Out of stock

Yeah you probly didn't get one.

No I got one I placed my order three hours before they went on BO. My account says its packed for two days nows. I called customer service and got three differant answers from it shipped this morning to no it didnt and I dont know when it will ship.

The reason I am suspisios is because I had this happen last week with a Asus 7800 GTX top. They even went as far as giving me a tracking number that had no info and never got shipped. I ordered it at the 579.00 price 4 hours later it went to 599.00 then out of stock.

Those assholes pulled this crap with me too, I have chewed out ZZFly a couple times, I ordered a product, paid for overnight shipping and the thing sat there for several days because they never really had it in stock

You named them right. I have been getting the circle jerk for two days. Forget about email's they never answer them, next to impossible to get them on the phone. All I know is between the two cards they have over 1200.00 of my money and I cant get a straight answer. Althought I am getting a credit for the first phantom card.

I layed into them, I wouldn't expect any decent concessions but you can try for them.

The first time I ordered from them, I ordered an Asus TOP edition 6600GT and paid a premium. (230.00 or something) They sent me a regular version. I called and they told me "Oh... well the website was wrong."

I told them I wanted either the right product or a refund of the premium, they would give me neither.

They said I'd have to send the card back ON MY DIME and wait for a credit, which wasn't possible as I needed the video card and my PC to work sooner than a week or two later.

So the rep tells me [sic] "Well I'd suggest buying another video card in the meantime."

I hate ZZFLY personally, and only order from them as a last resort

I tell you I have ordered from them for a while now but that's it no more for me. They are good as long as there isn't the slightest problem. If there is your screwed and you have to deal with there BULLSHIT stories as I recently found out. I have a feeling that guy's who ordered, and there stuff say's packed, it might be packed with what they have a lot off BS stories.

The other thing is I sent 5 emails all with read receipts, and not one reply, what does that tell you.

I've been a ZZF customer for quite some time. I probably ordered several thousand dollars worth of stuff from over the last 5 years ( when they were GoogleGear too ) or so. There have been a few times where they sold out-of-stock merchandise. Normally, I received e-mail stating the item was out-of-stock. I think this is just a case where these were oversold because their inventory software couldn't keep up with orders. It also relies on the warehouse employees to properly scan stock as it leaves receiving or enters shipping. I bet they only got a handful of cards and took additional orders before they knew there weren't any more to ship.

I noticed that both Newegg and ZZF will bump up the prices of items that are selling well. It is just a matter of supply and demand.

ZZF DOES issue tracking numbers BEFORE they actually ship so that the information is available to the shipping department when orders are packed, so IT IS possible for them to provide a tracking number but the item ends up being out-of-stock when its time to pull it from stock. Personally, I never liked that process. They take a chance in exchange for faster order processing. I think most large retailers use a similar process with the exception that tracking numbers are issued when there is a physical package. ZZF is probably full of low-wage stockmen / SRs who don't care whether they feed BS to their customers or not.

Pretty much every time I order something from ZZF, I receive an e-mail where my CC has been debited and a link to a tracking number. The next day, I would receive an e-mail stating the item has shipped. I just ordered some fans on the 13th. Got the tracking e-mail on the 14th and the shipping e-mail on the 15th.

I think your being too kind to them. I too have been a custumer since Google gear and have spent several thousand dollars there.

There is no excuse for ignoring emails and lying to custumers which is what there doing. If the Item is over sold then state that. Don't Jerk me around and charge my Debit card and hold my money.

I just don't understand why you guys couldn't have waited a few weeks until after the feeding frenzy has died down. Now, you have to compete with every gaming super enthusiast on a first come first serve basis and deal with the money hording vendors who take orders on "Items in stock" that have since sold out and taking your money accepting your overnight payments because your so damn impatient, on cards that have yet to arrive.

You bought your own grief. I been there and won't do it again. At least you can learn from this mistake for the next time.

Sorry you have to go through this, but it's how we all learn.

Waiting a few weeks means that they have a few weeks less to boast about their new toy.
Epenis means everything, especially when the new Nvidia/ATI cards come out next year and humiliate this generation.

Sad but true. I'll wait until Oblivion comes out and then weigh my options, but I will never impulse buy the latest-greatest just to say 'mine is bigger than yours'.

All joking aside, I think it's the right thing to do and you can save yourself grief and buck just by waiting juuuuust a bit longer.

Cheers and good luck.

Hey, when your right your right. I have a feeling others will follow once they find out that they are out there money and have nothing to show for it. I would have no problem with waiting till it came in. But they have a lot of nerve taking money for something they don't even have, and then giving you lame excuses and insulting your intelligence.

Cheers to you too

I woke up this morning ready to cancel and had a tracking number email and it looks to be on the way. I hope they sent what I ordered and not another brand. They are showing only the Evga in stock. I will let you know what happens.
