The next think i am expecting is the ETA for the X850XT getting pushed up....

Same **** as last year.

Yep, more and more paper launches. It's getting real old.
I think they are doing on purpose. Drives prices higher.

Can't even buy an x800 anything directly from ATI. I've never seen anything like it before in my life.
ATI orginally stated they would have x800xl's available for purchase on Jan 3rd. Now it's late January which really means Feb.

Yup, but they dropped the ASUS to $199 w/ free shipping. After reading the Tom's Hardware roundup on the NF4 boards, I went for the ASUS, because there is really no difference between the different boards other than features. They all perform and overclock the same.

The non-Ultras and Chaintech VNF-350 should probably be avoided, but the top SLI/Ultra boards are all good - just pick one at the lowest price possible.

i totally REFUSE to get the Asus "just because it is the only one available". I also dont think that the MSI/DFI etc. are comparable to the asus in terms of overclocking.
Asus seems to have too many quirks for my taste. my $0.2
