Suprised by a good little record here! Sounds like a return to their "roots" so to speak, complete with drums and guitars!

Its a nice album, with stipped down guitars and grizzled vocals. Nothing new here, and I love it.

The band starts out covering DJ DMD, Lil' Keke & Fat Pat's hip hop song "25 Lighters" and makes it sound good :), followed by a bunch of good time, not so serious, blues rock and roll drinking party tunes.

Billy Gibbons plays inspired, and sings like a grizzled ol' bluesman. Dusty Hill is solid, and Frank Beard is actually playing drums.

I've listened a couple times through, still sounds good!

I'll have to give it a listen. I wasn't a fan of their MTV-era music but I queue up the SixPack collection (first 6 albums on 3 CDs) now and then for a bit of the early tunes like "Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "Hot, Blue and Righteous".
