I just got a Zyxel P-330W "Internet Sharing Router" as it's called. The idea is to use it as a wireless bridge. The setup went fine except when it comes to the "Wireless Site Survey", where it scans around for available wireless networks. It sees my wireless network as WEP, when it's most definitely a WPA (non-WPA2) network.
Nothing I have tried has been able to remedy that. Yes, the Zyxel supports connecting in either WPA, WPA2 or WEP mode. Yes, it supports connecting in bridge mode in all of those security configurations.
My main wireless router is the Belkin Pre-N router, F5D8230-4 Version 1002, with latest firmware. The Zyxel is brand new, with firmware 1.6 (latest).
There's nothing odd about Belkin's WPA implementation that I know of. My Dell laptop and Netgear wireless print server both connect fine in WPA mode to the Belkin.
So why is the Zyxel only seeing WEP, when the Belkin is most certainly operating in WPA mode? I also tried setting the Belkin to WPA-2 and no change on the Zyxel.
