I love Zyxel...
Personally rank it much higher the TPLink and Dlink even.

Unfortunately i have no interest in 2.5g, as if i do expand past my 1g network, it will be 10G as i am already fully CAT6E wired.

Microtik has a rack-mount 24-port 1G/10G SFP+ + 4-port 40G QSFP for $439 on Amazon.

That switch looked like "A Contender" for the enthusiast, the type that talks about used Enterprise switches all day.

mmmm only problem i still have is the 10gb nics.....
They only come standard on super expensive boards.

on 2.5g they are starting to come out on gamer boards more and more.
So the future maybe a mix of the two ecosystem.

Still too much. The guys on the serve the home forum find 40GB qsfp switches for 1/2 that price. There's some work to be done on them (loading an OS), but it's ridiculous how cheap used 10GB is.

Now, finding used unmanaged 10GB-T is very, very difficult if not impossible. Almost anything 10GB-T has to be bought new, or at least a lot of rj sfp+ modules.
