ZyWall Limiting LAN Machines to TWO?

I've got a bit of a problem getting a third machine onto my LAN. I have the cable line into the cable modem and that is plugged into the ZyWall 10 (Firmware 3.24.2). The ZyWall in turn is plugged into a 3Com 8-Port Dual Speed Switch which the three machines behind it are plugged into using patch cables. I have two machines up and running without any problems. I can not for the life of me get the third up on the LAN.

This machine like the other workstation is a Windows 2K Pro system. I've checked the connections and the cables (using a cable tester) and they all check out. I even swapped a NIC and that did not help either. The machine has a static IP assignment and all the TCP/IP properties are correctly entered. I get a link light at the NIC and at the switch at 100M. This machine can not ping out nor can it be pingged from the LAN or ZyWall. What I find interesting is that the ZyWall sees that IP address somehow. I tried pinging itself with both the loopback IP and the static IP assigned and it checked out. When I attempt to ping the ZyWall 192.168.1.1, I get request time outs. When switching the NIC to other speeds, I get destination unreachable.

I'm suspecting that since the ZyWall is the gateway, a packet originating from this machine has to go through its NIC, through the patch cable, into the switch, and then into the ZyWall then out to the rest of the LAN/WAN. The buck obviously stops at ZyWall since it can see the IP of this machine. My other two systems CAN ping anything without a problem; except this machine. I attempted to turn off the firewall but that doesn't help the situation either. I also attempted to allow the machine to grab an IP via DHCP but the system isn't even seeing a DHCP server (in this case I'm assuming the ZyWall).

Is there a definitive way for me to establish that the ZyWall is somehow configured or malfunctioning to limit only 2 machines? I've got IT people baffled with this one. Please help if you can. I've run out of ideas. I'm going to bring home my laptop from work today to see if I can connect to that machine directly via cross-over cable and to see if the laptop can get an IP from DHCP. Thanks in advance!
