What else do you want? The halogen bulb heats up quickly and once up to temp, will cycle. Also clean up is easier when you get spills and splatters. The only problem is the glass surface can chip. My brother has an used smoothtop range from the prior homeowners. Don't know how they took care of the range since there are small chucks of glass missing.
