ZX Chipset: Any good for a stable, low-end system??

I have a celery 466 (370), and I was wondering if the intel ZX chipset was reliable. I'm not going to be doing any overclocking (kid's machine). From what I remember, this was just a stripped-down version of the BX chipset.

Thoughts??

Yes, the ZX is a stable chipset, but what make is the motherboard? I beleive it is only capable of supporting 256mb of ram. (?)

I think that's right, Killrose. I remember that there was some limitation to the chipset (bus speed, multipier, or something like that), but now that you mention it, I think the limitation is 256 MB. That should suffice for Jumpstart Preschool (Hmmm..... Jumpstart Deathmatch?? Now there's an idea!)

BTW, how do you like your 8KTA3?? I have that replaced an Abit KT133 board, and I'm glad I did.

Thanks

ZX is just as stable as any other Intel chipset. I have my computer built upon FIC VB601-Z (440ZX chipset) for more than 2.5 years now (see my rig) and the reliability is excellent. I´m going to purchase new machine in Jan/Feb, but I´ll leave this one at home for my paretns.

The main limitations of ZX chipset that I can remember are following:
max 2 DIMM memory slots, 512MB of RAM (not 256MB, as it was mentioned)
max 4 PCI slots
doesn´t support MP (BX does)

Bonus!! Thanks Bobek. As I've stated before, I love my KT133-based mobo (now that I went with Epox), but I do miss the "put it together and it just works" stability of most of the Intel chipsets.

Thanks to everyone for the input!!
