Zuni/Webmaster- Suggestion for Ads

I figure you're probably not watching that other thread to closely, so I started a new one. I'd like to suggest that you place the ads in the empty place under each username in a thread, as there's plenty of extra space there, and I don't think it would mess up the layout too much.

works for me. can I pick from a list or something?

I wasn't aware that the Mods placed ads anywhere.

he's new. it is still a better idea then the ads over there. having a "bank" of sorts that users could put under their avatars. That way everyone could pick a company that they wanted to advertize for. the ads themselves would be generated however they are. we just pick one.

Subscribers could of course choose not to have an ad.

Ah, I guess this isn't a question fro the Mods, the webmaster, Zuni, I suppose? I was thinking in the empty space under the Avatar, username and stuff, there could be a place for autogenerated ads. The pick your ad idea sounds neat, but I'm not sure if the advertisers would like that, I think they'd prefer randomly placed ads.

Only problem is say a person hates a company and always disrespecting it, and all of the sudden the ad for that company shows up under that person's name.

Also, how would they be able to impliment that on the forum server and not the subscriber server?

Note also that this would result in longer pages, since small posts and ones without sigs don't have that much empty space beneath the avatar.

And of course, this was suggested in the other thread, and I can't imagine a daily opening of a new thread about the ads is going to do anything.
