Like vBulletin and Ultimate Bulletin Board, I think this is a must to be added...

e-Mail Notification: You currently receive an email everytime someone replies to a thread you are subscribed to. This clogs up your email box, and causes more bandwith to be wasted. Why not make it so you get one email saying there has been a response to a thread you are subsribed to? One email per thread, until you log back in and view that thread. After you have viewed it it resets. vB and UBB have adopted this long ago, and I think it is time to adapt it here. I hate getting hundreds of emails for one thread saying there is a response, one is enough! If for some reason someone's email server doesn't accept the email, it will bounce back to the server creating even larger problems. Let me know what you think!

Yeah, lots of people have mentioned this, i'm not sure what the status is. Personally I don't subscribe to threads anymore because of that reason. If I care enough to read the thread again i'll just search for it.

That's exactly the reason I don't like subscribing to threads also. I wish we had an option to turn off the email notification.

Another workaround is to turn the feature on, let one or two replies hit your mail in-box then log back in and turn it off, you can always go back to your email for a direct link to your thread.
