My subscription ran out about a week ago, however even after it ran out I was still able to log into the subscription servers on my computer. When i used a computer that i had never been on Anandtech with before, i couldnt get onto the subscriber service. However on my computer i had no problem-- so i'm guessing it had something to do with my info being cached on my computer or something like that... I was able to do this for about a week, and then I cleared my tempory internet files and stuff like that on one of my computers, then i was no longer able to get on to the subscriber server on that computer, however had no problem on my laptop. Don't worry though... I renewed my subscribtion over the weekend. Thought you might like to know about this bug in case you didnt already know about it. (had no intention of stealing the at subscriber service... i have way to much of a guilty conscious.)

and on another note-- would it be possible to modify fusetalk to be able to make exceptions for people accessing the forums from banned IP adresses based on the their username?

thanks~!

<< I'ts not really a bug, but i wont go into detail about it :) >>

okay cool.. just thought i'd pass it along. :)

so what about the possibility to modify fusetalk to be able to make exceptions for people accessing the forums from banned IP adresses based on the their username?

when i'm at home instead of at school, the only way i can get online is through dail up AOL or netzero (a serious pain to use)... is there any way that fusetalk could let me post on anandtech despite the fact that my IP adress will be in the banned range?

(and as for changing dail up providers-- i could never convince my parents to do that. Hopefully we'll get a cable modem as soon as the service become available in my area.)

just a thought. :)
