I am wanting to start a small forum based on Fusetalk. While I am confident I can run the software with some hair pulling and elbow grease, I am a little worried about hardware. While 1U servers take up little space I am concerned about cooling.

Does Anandtech use 1U servers as primary the ones, or do you use bigger rackmount cases such as 2U or bigger. It just seems to me that 1U cases can lead to serious trouble on the cooling part, more so if a fan dies or something... but taking up such little real estate is kinda sweet.

Thanks 🙂

Hey there SinFul, all 1U here, works great. As long as the server room is kept at a decent temperature (which it should be) no worries. Most 1U cases are very well ventilated.
