I assumed it was just alchohol in cold medicine that made you drowsy.

I've built up a good tolerance for the affects of alchohol in the past years and assume I would feel normal after 2 shots of robitusin. Boy was I wrong. There should certainly be a warning against operating a vehicle after you've ingested this. Friends, this is bad stuff. Better to take a couple shots of vodka than robitussin. On the plus side, my nose isn't running.

So, did you get into a car accident or sever an important body part while operating machinery? :D

2 shots = 3oz?

If you took 3oz, you should be floating right along by now. But if it's the "Cough & Cold" kind, with acetaminophen and other things in it, you're lucky you didn't get sick.

Did you read the label before you took the medication?

I was working, as a teen, having nasty sore throat. I bought a bag of mentho-coughdrops. I was taking them one after the other for a while. I never knew you could get high off those things... but after a while I was starting to feel the effects.

I don't think there was a warning on them, but, I really don't remember.
