I have a couple Zotac 480s. Regardless of the vendor, the cards are all the same if they're the reference design. I've had one reason to contact them, I did hear back a couple days later and then replied to them and have yet to hear back now, that was almost a week ago. So who knows.
Zotac offers a lifetime warranty, I have serious doubts that the quality of their RMA process or the customer service involved in said process would be of the quality of EVGA though.
I would get an EVGA card 100% if they both are at the same price point.
yeah, it depends on the price delta, but usually a good rule of thumb is pay $10-20 for evga, most other vendors pay regular price, lesser known ones like zotac, galaxy, etc probably $10-20 LESS than regular price. hold out for a few days and you'll see great deals on name brands as well, don't worry
