Zotac + MIR = Not worth the troube. Some have good experiences but I see many complaining that they don't honor their rebates. So.....

Which is completely untrue. I have done 5+ zotac rebates between 2011,2012. I received all of them. You might have to send an email to contact them about it but they are very fast to respond to emails. When I had inquired about my rebates two of the times, they had them in the mail the next day.

It sounds like you have no experience whatsoever and are just parroting comments you see on the internet.... I dont know why they have a bad rep about rebates, but some people are just plain stupid and dont read the guidelines. 5/5 successful rebates over an 8 month period shows decent evidence that they are probably reliable....

Dont believe all the fud you see on the internet...

I need a half decent spare video card. For $20 you can't beat this one. In for one.

I also got mine immediately after emailing them but you shouldn't have to prompt them. I even pre-registered the rebates online before sending them in, still took about 4 months and if I hadn't sent an email I still wouldn't have the rebates.

Of all companies I've had rebates with in the past two years, Zotac was by far the slowest and required the most work.

I noticed that too, I dont know why its got a minihdmi, most of them are normal hdmi....The one I owned was normal hdmi, so i guess that was a slightly different model. What is with nvidia and mini-hdmi. They are the only ones that do that crap. What uses mini hdmi? TV's sure dont.... What irritates me is that the cards with mini-hdmi often times do not include the mini-hdmi adapter(like this one).

Fair enough. You are right, you shouldnt have to but it as long as you have the mentality of having to, they are still reliable. They respond very fast to emails either way. I think their rebate center is run by one guy, so that is part of the slow processing. The guy is super nice though, at least with the two times I had to email them.

Many of their new rebates actually go through 4myrebate.com so..... That center is very efficient at what they do.

I took the risk of the rebate. For $30 I think I can write more than 2-3 emails just to get it. I mean considering the amount of posts I've done in all forums, I don't ever remember getting $30 in return in any one or two of them. Lol

Excuse me, ask my wife about Zotac. You have to stay on them to finally get your rebate. They literally will try to get out of it if you don't bug them enough. And i'm not the only one. Someone above posted they had a bad Zotac rebate experience as well. So no, its not simply because I want to put them down. I simply wanted others to know that they are tricky and can even be shady. I just want them to honor their stinking rebates without having to push them to do so.

If they can't/don't want to pay it, then don't offer it.

Low-profile fail. Have been waiting for a cheap, low-pro, 128-bit 430 for my HTPC for months.

Thats fine. I respect your experience. For me, as I stated above, some comments seem strange since I have done around 5 rebates with them from 5 different video cards in the last 8 months. If I have positive experiences with them after 5 rebates, and you or others have negative experience with 1 rebate, something seems wrong here. I am a bit skeptical when I read peoples stuff on the internet.

And in my cases, I did not in any way have to "stay on them" to finally get my rebates. Their rebate center is run by only one guy I think but he is very friendly. It only took a single email to them which was replied to within 10 hours to get my rebates in the mail the next day.....

Actually the very first rebate I ever did with Zotac after reading negative comments, I actually received within about 3 weeks from submitting it. None of the other rebates after were near that speed though.

Also, half of their newer rebates go through 4myrebate.com which is a third partly site and handle many various brand and product rebates. The rest go through their own processing center(I guess?), like this GT 430.

Well, today I got my rebate from Zotac barely three weeks after mailing my claim. Could it be just an isolated incident? Luck? or maybe Zotac has learned from its past mistakes? Anyways, a $20 128bit 1GB Fermi video card is something worth posting for.

Ive gotten one of my rebates from Zotac within 3 weeks myself once, then the next one took two months, and the next one after that took about the same. They are very reliable, but yeah sometimes you get them fast, sometimes not.

Hopefully they have finally stepped up. Its annoying when a company offers a rebate and doesn't want to pay up. Especially when they will use any little excuse against you.

Next time, I 'might' give Zotac a shot.

Great card. It takes up one slot and the cooler is very quiet. Its excellent for an HTPC box that doesn't need a low profile card.

I'm 2-for-2 on Zotac rebates with no problems.
