ZoneAlarm Pro: Any way to export settings?

I've got one machine on which ZoneAlarm's privacy settings are well configured.. I can log into hotmail, netscape.net mail, etc.. I have tried duplicating the settings visually onto another machine, but they don't work the same.. Is there any way to output your settings from zonealarm, or does anyone know the specific registry keys where they are stored (if they are stored in the registry)? Emails to Zonelabs routinely go unanswered, so there's no help there...

Most of the settings are stored in the folder Windows\Internet Logs. Otherwise most software proggy settings in the registry are found under Local Machine\Software or Current User\Software

I've been asking them for an export feature for a couple years now ...

Nope.

Noid:

I hear you.. we actually have a 100 client license here at work, and considering the fact that that kind of license ain't exactly cheap, you'd think they would at least answer an email from a paying customer. I'm starting to look at TinyPersonal as an alternative.

Auric:

I had actually checked all the usual reg keys before I posted. Nothing in there looks remotely like a list of settings. There are a bunch of encrypted strings, but they're all associated with registration info...

Kerio's free version has the export/import functions (save/load firewall configuration).

Nice find. If the software people would watch these kinds of forums, they might learn what sends their customers away, and how easy it happens;)

It might be possible to copy the database files except the one with the computer name would probably have to be edited or each machine could temporarily be renamed to match first.

I think I tried that once a while back.. At this point I don't remember if I copied all the databases or just some of them, but I do remember that it didn't work. Jeez, how hard would it be to just put in a feature that lets you output to an .ini file or something?

Anybody ever figured this out? Also, when you reinstall the software for whatever reasons, you lose the settings too! What a Pain!
