FYI... There are two rebates that make it FAR, a $15 reate, and a $20 Upgrade rebate which requires:
Proof of previous ownership submission:
Previous product?s original CD, OR diskette
(1), OR title page of manual, OR confirmation
email from your previously downloaded
purchase.

Why would I want ZA Pro?

What additional / extra feature(s) make it worth the time / effort / expense?

Did they ever fix the memory leaks? I gave up on it and bought Outpost Pro Firewall. Much more configurable, more features, and get this...less memory usage. ZoneAlarm is good and transparent for newbies, but you can't lock down your computer very tight with it. No making of complex rules like in Outpost Pro.

I got it for $20 (download) last year directly from zone labs shortly after my updates expired....no rebates required.

There was an article here earlier about ZA monitoring people's activities and sending the info to a database secretly.

There is an option to share your settings anonymously, but I haven't heard of the "secret database". 🙂

I could be spreading FUD, but I don't own Zone Alarm so I don't care enough to look into it more. Maybe somebody else will.
