Zonealarm on each computer in network???

Hopefully a simple question. My homenetwork is two computers networked together using Dlinks network in a box DFE 910. the server is on a cable modem (2-way), & the client accesses the internet via the network. Zonealarm is installed on only the server. The network uses Wingate. The OS is Win98 (first edition).

Should Zonealarm also be installed on the client?
 
It's a neat program, but I just don't feel the need for it. All you need todo to be secure is don't share stuff w/o passwords..

I don't care if people try and connect to my ftp ports, or whatever, because they won't be getting through, because i don't run anything like that. That site tested me, and only said 139 is open but wasn't allowing connections. There is NO way people can look at your files unless you have a trojan of sorts, or you are sharing out stuff without a password. All of the things it scans are 100% trivial except for netbios. If you have an ftp, you obviously want people to connect, same with http, and the other servers it scans for.
 
You should not need two copies of zone alarm provided you have one on the Wingate machine but better safe than sorry!

I appologise for being off topic BUT rawko A firewall is not just there to stop people from looking at your files. If someone one IRC for example got annoyed with you he/she could do a land attack or any other dos attack on your machine and it would crash where as office boy (and my good self) would be fine!
 
Yes, and he/she could do many things like an icmp flood which would kill your bandwith and eventually knock you offline even /w a firewall. Even if you set the firewall to ignore icmp, it stills accepts them, just doesn't return them. I could understant that point of a view with such attacks like land.
