ZoneAlarm Cannot get mail on Outlook Express

I am having a problem with ZoneAlarm. I am using the free version on a system I just build. OS is Win XP Pro. Outlook Express is my E-mail software. Unless I shut down zonealarm, I cannot connect and get my E-mail. When I close zonealarm, everything works fine.
Any suggestions?
BTW, I recently added Spyblaster, and also followed black viper's recommendations in disabling programs running in the background.

You probally set it to block Outlook when zonealarm asked you. Open zonealarm, goto program control and down to outlook express and make sure the 2 boxes on the left are green checkmarks.

If outlook is not there, add it by clicking the add button.

the path for outlook express is
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe
