I have the personal edition of ZoneAlarm installed on two machines. This is version 6.5.737.000, the most recent version available. One machine is Windows 2000 Pro, the other machine is Windows XP Pro. ZoneAlarm is set to automatically update itself on both machines.
Today ZoneAlarm on both machines indicated that it had updated itself and that the updates would not take effect until the machine was restarted. I restarted both machines and checked the version number of ZoneAlarm. The version number is unchanged.
WTF is going on? The ZoneLabs folks are pretty good about updating version and release numbers when they update their product.
This seems peculiar. Is anyone else experiencing this?
