Zone Alarm vs. ZA Pro

With the increasing number of port attacks and intruder alerts, I am wondering if this is a good time to upgrade to Zone Alarm Pro. The reason I have not done it is coz I am a dial user, not DSL or Cable.

Nevertheless, the number of port "queries", ranging from HTTP to ICMP to Netbios is alarming, at an average of 30 calls per log in.

Suggestions?

I don't believe Pro handles anything differently except the email attachment filter as it handles more file extensions. The only other things available to you are just much more cutomization/advanced settings, plus you support a great product :)

I have a coupon I got via email that gives you 10 bucks off Pro if you want it.

Thanks for the feedback. I take it then it is safe to stay with Zone Alarm Personal edition. Nah, extra user settings only add more clutter and possibly confusion. Email attachments, yep.. that's a definite plus but I think my settings currently is pretty secure.

Thanks for offering the $10 coupon, I got that too !
