Zone Alarm Pro and some sites not showing images, buttons, etc.

I have the latest version of ZoneAlarm Pro ver 3.5.169.002.

The problem is some sites I go to like bestbuy.com and amazon.com, buy.com, etc. don't show images. Some other sites don't show buttons or whatnot.

Anyways, I go into the privacy tab and go to the site list. I enter or edit the above mentioned sites and have them <U>not</U> block ads, cookies, popups, activeX, java, etc. Basically, telling it to bypass the firewall. It doesn't work! It still does not show the pictures!

Is there an easy way to bypass this?

What OS are you using? It could be a java issue. You might want to try to download Sun's Java Machine.

No, it's not JVM problems. The pictures show up if I have ZA disabled, but it's lots of hassle because when I disable ZA, I have it set so nothing can be transmitted or received from the net.

The latest version of zap is 3.5.169 are you running this version? I use it on Win XP Pro SP1 and latest updates. No problem with sites. Are you running IE 6.1 with latest updates? Try shutting down zap and the going to the sites that give you problems. Do they still not load right? If so zap is not your problem. Be sure to start zap back up or just reboot.

Yes, I'm using the latest version of ZA Pro, as stated in original post. Yes, IE is the latest version. Yes, I have all the latest IE updates, etc.

I can't just shut down ZA Pro and go to sites because of the way I have everythign set up, I can't access the net without ZA Pro running. Of course, I wouldn't want to use the net without a firewall of some sort.

Finally, yes, the pages load fine without ZA Pro loaded. I already tried a reinstall of ZA Pro without avail.





BTW, can you check out amazon.com and buy.com and bestbuy.com and see if you get all images loading?

Everything works at buy.com, bestbuy.com, and amazon.com. BTW what do you have for privacy settings I have ad blocking to high and cookies to off.

Try going back to the privacy tab and bringing both sliders down to off, instead of manually configging each web site. Does that work any?

try turning OFF 'mobile code'
