hey a couple months ago i posted a thread about weird reboots and i went through all sorts of trouble to test everything and in the end i coindidentally uninstalled ZA and no crashes. i installed the new free version yesterday and already today it crashed once in the middle of diablo... its always the same true vector engine errors... :|

i had p2p related zone alarm problems.
i then tried tiny, sygate and black isle before landing at kerio personal firewall. i haven't expirienced any problems yet. maybe it's worth a try.

I switched to Sygate a while ago and havent looked back. More robust protection, more customizable, less buggy etc etc.

sometimes games may hang if you have "ask me bout programs connectin to internet" (something like that ;) ) option selected b/c the game is waiting for you to allow zonealarm to allow the game to connect to the internet....

helps to run games in windowed mode the first time so you can alt tab out or whatever to allow the game to connect.......
