Zone Alarm disappeared

Hi everyone,
Today I noticed that zone alarm was no longer in the task bar. I don't know when it disappeared. I tried starting it from the zone alarm folder and it would'nt start. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't run. Does anyone know what may have cause this and what i should do about it. Could I have been hacked?

Give him a break. At least suggest a better alternative?

I am using Sygate Firewall and had the same problem (can't bring up the GUI). I know you are using Zone Alarm, but check out this thread in Sygate forums. I think it should work for you.. 🙂

You might not have necessarily been hacked -- the installation may have been corrupted on its own, either via something you did or random corruption, but in any case, have you tried a reinstall?

As long as its not Norton Internet Security, or Norton anything at all for that matter - unless you like not having control over your own computer 😱

I'd recommend Comodo firewall over zonealarm.

I didn't notice the dates. I was thinking "Wow! I haven't heard the name Sygate in awhile".
