So it's actually available, not just a " maybe in the future apple will discover technology to make it white in the US instead of black!"

I also saw some guy on craigslist recently offering to change the black glass for white glass and he was charging like $150. I paid $200 for my phone...
 
Its about time. I was actually trying to hold out on upgrading until the white one came out, but I'm glad I didn't wait this long. I needed a new phone when I upgraded or else I probably could have waited.
 
wow, its so white, i should pay a 30 percent premium on it because its so hard to make it in white than in black.

I went to see when I'm elligible for an upgrade but then got sidetracked when I realized that AT&T was charging me $25 in text overage this month.

Which makes no sense at all since

A) I'm paying $60 total for 2 phones w\ unlimited data on each phone.
and
B) Most of the texts are between the 2 phones on my plan. SO I have 400 texts between the 2 phones, and each text essentially uses 2 of my 400 total texts.

Picked the wife's up this morning when the AT&T store opened.

I can say that.. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do.

Finger smudges aren't shown very well because of the white backing.

Its strange, I know its just a matter of white/black but the device just doesn't look the same, maybe because I'm used to seeing it in all black.

you actually pay $300 for it?
 
I was reluctant to get a white ipad because of contrast "issues" but I find that I like my white iPad A LOT. I have the black iPhone btw and wouldn't have any hesitations about getting a white iphone now.
 
I guess I will just never understand the draw of white. I think it looks absolutely hideous. But, I guess cars come in different colors, why not iphones.

The resale value of Apple products sucks when you're buying, but very good when you're selling :thumbsup:

Jailbreak/unlock it if possible and you could probably get a subsidized iphone 4 paid for completely
 
Yeah I thought the same thing about the phone and the iPad. Makes me rethink it after getting the white ipad.

looks like I'm getting an iphone4 instead of waiting until the end of the year.
 
I got one for $199 16g switching from the 3gs to 4 thru att. In person the white looks "different". Almost like its missing something? Or looks like a iphone someone took apart. Skelton.
But I see the antenna issue is still present. Holding the phone, the reception drops to "searching for sig". Sitting it back down and full reception returns. I can't believe this problem still exists. Amazing!!!
Does apple still give out the edge covers to address this issue?
