... And like everything shuts down and people can't figure out how to drive on a dusting here in Alabama.

Yup... 1pm and I was told to go home. I love this state.

Alabama??? I hope you are in Birmingham, that's the only tolerable place...

It's the same story everywhere in the South, here in TX, even with a light rain people go full retard.

LOL that's hilarious. Do they think it's radioactive or something? lol. I never understood how some people freak out at a bit of snow. I can understand when it's a couple feet, because the town might not have enough snow plows and you physically can't drive in a couple feet of snow unless you want serious vehicle damage, or even get stuck. But a dusting does not require any kind of plowing, or salting, or anything like that. Just drive! lol

We barely have any snow this year again. Maybe a foot at very most but lot of it melted so it's probably less now. We're back into our standard January weather though, but when it's -30C it usually does not snow either. :p

lol Boringham. Yeah... no.

In WNY we get 8" and you're still expected to come into work.

Born and raised. If there wasn't a 6 foot tall snowplow-packed ice-laden snow drift at the end of my driveway, it wasn't winter.

I'm surprised so many schools were closed yesterday when we got 4". I guess since we don't get as many snowstorms in the winter as we used to they need to use up the snow days anytime we get more than a dusting.

I havent seen a decent snow storm in a month and its most has melted in the last few weeks. I miss being up north and having snow till april. We really need another foot before the years over.

About 70 degrees F here. I was wearing short sleeves today. Although the past couple of days the temp was in the low 30's.

I wish Chicago had snow.
Lots of broken records regarding the lack of snow.

The area is about to blow past the latest date on record which has failed to log a single 1" or greater snow so late in the season.
The record was first established on this date 114 years ago in 1899. The record has been tied today and will be broken tomorrow.

The season's abysmal 1.3" snowfall is the unchallenged leader as the lowest seasonal tally since records of area snowfall began in the 1884-85 cold season.
