So, who amongst you fellow geeks has ordered a brand new iPod Video?

I debated withl myself, even flipped a coin (outcome of which was not to buy) and then splooged 300 bucks (After student discount and taxes) to get a black 30 gig engraved iPod. Says its preparing to ship so my guess is it might ship either tomorrow or monday, in which case I should get it on Weds (I HOPE).


So, who here has gotten theirs? Who got pix to share? Your impressions?
 
Meh, No real reason to be watching video that small. I might consider it if Ic an download news and watch it on the bus or something.

Well ABC is starting to allow Lost episodes to be downloaded to the iPod and watch on the go. I think it costs 1.99$ per episode. I am sure that news are not that far behind... You can use Quicktime pro to conver avi's and divx's to mov format, or use Videora to convert it to MPEG... divx's on the fly - FTW!
 
How big is the screen anyway? I don't see the point of watching a show if you need a magnifying glass to properly watch it.

I think Apple fixed the HD clicking noise w/ the 5G. iLounge has a in depth review on the new 60GB.

i'm getting one for 200 bucks.. can play most video formats. don't have to convert everything into MPEG4..

I can't wait till the iSkin comes out for the Video. I have a glow-in-the-dark one for my 4G iPod and I absolutely love it - but for now I'll do with the little cover that Apple provides with the iPod.
