Nothing on the consumer level Intel side supports 4 GB dimms right now, does it?
What mobos out there presently support this?

Server boards will support 8GB+ DIMMS. FBDIMMS that is. ;)

The X38/48 chips should support 4GB modules but only two since the max memsize is 8GB.

You guys are right, I did some searching and it turns out that no mainstream motherboards actually seem to support > 8GB. :eek:

This one supports 32GB :laugh:

So now we need 8GB sticks! Hate to see the timings on such dense memory.

On a related note, if we can smash so much memory into one stick, why don't we make them smaller?
