This is the first thread dedicated to this game, it would seem! Game is three years old, I bargain-binned it today for $12.

I've played for about an hour. My initial impressions are that it is really not great. IGN gave it a 6.4, but metacritic gave it closer to 80%.

The biggest issue I had and still have is that I cannot get stick sensitivity right. It's like the sensitivity near dead-center is too high and the only way to reduce that is to reduce everything so much that it takes forever to turn properly. Coming from dying light with no such problems (nor on any other first person game I've played), the camera just moves very slowly and clunkily and I almost feel like I have claustrophobia. I think the short sticks on the pad are to blame and the Wii U in general just may not be catered to a first person view because of it.

Also looking at the game pad constantly is both cool and, in practice, really irritating.

Graphics are fairly terrible, I'd say they are like early or mid last-gen.

I'm pretty sure nobody cares but maybe somebody else played it here and has thoughts on the stick movements :D

apparently, there are two identically named games out:

and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls6mu_z8b78

which one is yours?

Strange. I have the one that is all dark with a tiny feint flashlight and awful controls.

I went back to dying light to confirm it wasn't me, and it wasn't.

I give ZombieU 2/5 stars. I won't go back to it. Glad I didn't waste more money on it than this. After games like last of us and dying light playing something like that is just impossible.

I remember getting a WiiU that came with this and a pro controller and after 5 minutes I gave up on the game.

Yeah it had pretty lukewarm feedback even when it came out. Seemed like even people that liked it were "yeah but its early in the system's life" where they were very clearly trying to excuse away a pretty poor game.
