I love ordering from ZZF for things going to New Jersey (no tax and usually free 2-day shipping), but they are so slow compared to NewEgg. This ALWAYS happens.

I ordered several items from both places on Tuesday.

NewEgg shipped out yesterday (Wednesday) and the items are due to arrive tomorrow.

ZZF is still "processing" the order and knowing them it probably won't ship until tomorrow. 2-day is always more like 5-day!

UPDATE: Finally it is in the packing stage. Let's see if it goes out today...So much for putting the system together this weekend...
 
Yeah, it's one of the unfortunate things that keeps them from being in close competition with Newegg. While the free 2-day shipping is a plus, when it takes them 3 days to get the package shipped out, it evens out, and sometimes falls behind, Newegg's shipping......

Especially now that Newegg offers 3 day shipping thru UPS. :roll:
 
I ordered a 512MB SD card for a digital camera on Tuesday. ZZF shipped it out same day and it is out for delivery. They have always shipped the same day or next day on my orders.
 
Over a year ago, I bought a stick of ram from them, and ZZF "processed" the order for over 24hrs before it shipped. I haven't ordered from them since. The delay is unacceptable when so many other companies ship the same day, or the next day if the order is placed in the evening.

I hope it's not hit-or-miss whether they ship same day - otherwise I'd like to use them more.
 
I just bought a cpu from zzf a couple weeks ago.
I ordered online. A couple hours later I got a call from them to confirm my credit card.
15 minutes later I received an email saying my order had been processed.
I received it not the next day, but the day after that.
From the time I placed the order to when I received my item was less than 48 hours, and shipping was free.
How the hell do you beat that?
 
Overstock.com is one of the worst I have tried. But my order from Newegg hasn't come yet- shipped 3 days ago, all the way from California to WI, I just can't wait for my 3700+ w/ free motherboard to come 🙁

ZZF usually ships the same day I order too, unless I order late or it's the weekend.
 
My ZZF orders are always shipped same day if I order by Noon my time, next day if after noon.

I'm in US Central time.
 
I think I've ordered 3 times from them and it always takes 2 days to get it out of the warehouse so it's not 2 day shipping.
 
True that. I placed two orders on the same day, one at Newegg, and the other at ZZF. The Newegg arrived two days later, as usual. The ZZF order took 3 days to process, and another three for delivery. I did save 10-20 bucks compared to Newegg though, so I guess that's something.
 
My ZZF order has been sitting at 'Processing' for 2 days now... 🙁
 
Zipzoomfly, the name itself seems kind of like an oxymoron....course they are not as bad as Monarch on getting items (or systems) out the door.

Currently waiting for a laptop to be shipped from them (ZZF). Newegg was a little more expensive, but are damn quick getting items out the door. Was ready to order it from them but were OOS on Monday (only later to go back in stock on Tuesday....damn it). Ordered it before noon PST on Monday and selected 2 day shipping in an attempt to get it on Thursday the latest, given their 1-2 business days before item ships policy.

Get an email from them 9:07am PST on Tuesday saying they having problem verifying the shipping address with the credit card...even though I have ordered from them on at least two other occasions using the very same credit card and shipping address. The address was on file with the card company on all 3 purchases. Call them up 3 minutes after email and re-verified the address.

Wednesday morning I see the status go from processing to packaged...and stay at packaged. Have a nagging feeling that will not go from packaged to shipped till Thursday or even Friday. Was going to cancel the order and place order with Newegg since they now have them back in stock, but ZZF does not allow cancellation on packaged items. For some reason having the ordered item(s) in a box at their site makes them magically protected from being cancelled no matter how long they sit on their thumbs.

Now I am not going to receive the laptop till next week thanks to a 5+ business day duration to get a 2 business day shipped item.


 
I ordered a pair of headphones from them last wednesday at 4:15 PM, and I got them on friday 😕
