ZIP installation on Asus a7v133 MB

I'm a newbie at this computer building. Recently I just built my first computer, which worked out great. I would of never made it as far as I have without the fellow anandtech memebers. Now I'm once again stuck.

I just got an Iomega Zip drive and I wanted to install it into my system. However, I don't know quite how to put it in. I have an Asus a7v133 motherboard. On the Primary IDE connector, I have hooked up 2 harddrives. (One master, one slave). The secondary IDE connector I have a DVD drive as master and burner as slave. Floppy is on master on the floppy connector. Then I noticed that the zip doesn't use the floppy cable. (Stupid me assuming i can use it on the slave)

My question is where and what cable do I use to install this ZIP?
I still want to keep my dvd, burner and 2 harddrives installed. I have no idea how to rearrange and install the zip.

Also, I heard that the iomega drives has issues with the drives. Is this true?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I assume it's an internal zip. if it is it's an atapi device & needs to go on a normal ide cable.
if you have no more m/board ide connectors then you'll have to get an ata66/100 pci controller card so you have somewhere to plug the zip device ide cable in! 🙂

I have the same board. There are jumpers you can configure to swith the Promise contoller from Raid to ATA-100. You can then attach the HDs to these connectors and the CDR & DVD to the primary & secondary IDEs, then slave the Zip to one of the optical drives. Look in the manual for details.
