Zip Drive problem

I have a Dell C510 or 610...

Anyway it's a zip 250 drive stamped with dell. It's running external with a serial cable. So it's a dell zip drive working with a dell system. Right now it has a 100MB zip disk in it. Would the 250 drive work with the 100MB disk or is there no compatiblity with this. Also should the drive show up as a 3 1/2 Flobby (B)? Or should it show up as a 'Zip' drive?

The 250's are backward compatible so Yes but a 100MB Zip drive won't like the 250 Disks. The Drive should show up as Zip or another Driver other then B esp if it's External

it should work fine. should show up as a zip drive too.
