Zip drive gets connected with which cable?

I just swapped the Zip disk outta one of my PCs to install another HD, and I'm going to put the zip in another pc. Do I have to install the zip on the ide cables of my pc, or is there another way so I can leave those data ribbons connections open? And if I can only install it on the ide cables, does it matter if it goes on the one with the cd-rom or the HD? BTW, I've go an Abit KT7(no RAID). That brings up another question, other than SCSI, how many HD drives can you put on an Asus K7M? Currently, I've got all the data ribbons with 2 connectors tied up with 2 HDs, and a cd-rom and a cd-rw.😕

Maybe I should try checking out Asus's web site more often. This is there spec quote: "2 x Ultra DMA-66/33 EIDE Ports to Support Up to 4 ATAPI Devices". So, I take it I can only have 4, huh?

I just plug mine into the line that says 110VAC. The data transfer rate jumps from 1MB/s to 134MB/s. Unfortunately, it started on fire in .3 seconds.
