Saw this on techbargins:

McGlen.com

Has Zues PC133 ram and shipping is cheap. As far as I can tell there is no limit like the accessmicro one and the shipping is much less, even though I think this site is part of accessmicro.

But still, a good deal is a good deal. I know accessmicro for a long time, but this one is new to me. May worth a bump.

KBtrade:

I did do a search and didn't find this one. I did see the one for accessmicro but as it was mentioned in that thread there is a limit of one stick per customer and shipping is $10. I believe this one has shipping for $5 (ground , and only $8 for 2nd day) w/ no limit.

I do apoligize if this does happen to be a repost.

I posted this yesterday in one of the accessmicro threats - but who cares, as long as it helps somebody I think it is o.k. to post it again. Sometimes you guys are a little tough.

Ah, now this is interesting. Going to Zeus components shows that Zeus was formed by McGlen to focus on development and marketing of it's propietary memory products. For support, you actually are supposed to contact McGlen.....

Thanks for the info. Just ordered one 128MB($93 UPS Groud). Will post my findings later. The shipping charge is reasonable. No restocking fee for this SDRAM within 15 days.

I'm almost tempted to buy these myself...do they only ship UPS, and would these work in a motherboard like this work with this RAM, and a 600mhz Duron? Thanx in advance! :p

Is there any way of knowing it's CAS latency, or it's "respose time" (i.e. 7.5, 8, 9 ns)?

I saw some PC133 memory on pricewatch that was 10ns and some other that was 7.5ns last week, if I remember correctly.

It looks like the price at McGlen is now $85...

This is a dumb question, but what's the difference between a SIMM and a DIMM? Performance? Compatibility?

I originally thought I was getting a DIMM.... but then when I got to the checkout, it shows up as a SIMM... so I don't know WHAT i'm supposed to get.

Sorry for the lame question,
Darq

Thanks. Just ordered a couple of sticks for the pc I'm building. We'll see how it works.

Just received my memory from McGlen. It shows 7ns(?) on the memory surface but Mcglen's sticker marks it as an 8ns'.

Sticked it in my Athlon 750 machine with KT7 M/B. It is runing 146 Mhz with "fast" memory timing and CAS 2 latency timing (Locks up at more aggressive settings).

Under 904Mhz and 113 mhz FSB my settings are as follows,

Sandra 200 Memory Benchmark: ALU: 545, FPU: 636

DRAM clk = hclk + pciclk = 146
DRAM timing: Fast
Dram bank interleave: 4-way
Dealy dram read latch: no
MD driving strength: Hi
Dram cycle lenght: 2
Fast R-w: enabled

I do not know if this memory is good or bad but my Crucial PC-133 cas 2 stick can run turbo memory timing and 115 fsb.

Add to my previous post.

It is LD brand. I encountered problems when mixing this RAM with Crucial Ram. It can only be in the first bank and the system became less stable when Crucial RAM was added to the second slot (Netscape died occasionally). I don't know if this the motherboard problem or the RAM problem because both RAMs run perfectly alone.
