Maybe someone can enlighten me on this.I bought 2 of these coolers and i am wondering why the backplate desighn is different between the two of them
One of them looks just like every other 775 backplate i have worked with it has a square center hole in it for clearance for the microcomponents under the socket. Now the second one looks identical to the first except it has no center hole in it just a dimple in the center to keep uniform clearance throught the backplate but the dimple rest right on the solders underneath the socket. It comes with a insultaing pad to go underneath but i just dont like it so i sent it back for another and received the same style back. Its going on a IX38 quad gt board the more i look at it i really dont se what it will hurt its just solder but what do you guys think i installed it and it seems to be fine?
