But for that much, you may want to look at some other options.

all those reviews doesnt help much, either they are OLD or they wouldnt have considered C2D processor...

well i think this thing is a better replacement for Stock HSF and nothing more...

anybody with real experience with this HSF would make my Job easier :)

anyway thanks for the link...

I need the temp comparisions for my C2D and not any AMD processor.. in that way i can get a clear picture of how the things turn out when i install it on my C2D processor. I hope it clears your doubt :)

Get an Ultra 90 and compromise?

I have that HSF right now, and the max it will take my e6300 is 2.8.

i am at 3Ghz right now as i am typing.... and that too on intel C2D stock cooler. if i cannot do better with my New HSF then why the hell would i prefer a New HSF.
My temps with stock HSF @ 3Ghz is IDLE 55deg, FULLLOAD (Orthos Blend) 65deg.

Ultra 120 extreme costs too much without the stock Fans and i havent seen a concrete result out yet on this forum. if anybody done with their installaion of Ultra 120 extreme please post some results..

Please use TAT for measurement...

thanks for the help..

All indications are that these HSFs are top performers and are just shy of Ultra 120 range (the 85W test is for the Core 2 Duo - the link is for the Enzotech, but it includes the Butterflies).

I'd say go listen to the recordings at the previous link posted (Silent PC Reviews) and if you're ok with that (and having a butterfly-shaped HSF), then there's no reason not to get one. Running off the 4-pin PWM connector, the fan shouldn't spin up until you've got it under heavy load anyway.

I don't own one, but it's pretty easy to see that it will out-perform the stock HSF (it out-performs both Scythe Ninja and Infinity with a screaming 110cfm fan on it! - this is not rocket science :) ).
